EVERYONE is doing so great!!! What an AWESOME feeling! Every little bit helps! Well I was able to pay off a $1900 personal loan from DBF step dad since he was gracious enough to pay the attorney last month for us!!! Still working on Citi Bank but payment is up to $300 a month with the snowball effect! Also was able to get $1000 emergency fund put away plus extra for Christmas expenses!!!

Hope everyone had a great holiday. Paid bills and threw some snowballs, nothing paid off this week but updated my ticker and that is fun. All the kids are gone back to school so will spend some time reading DR tonight while the laundry catches up, and getting more inspired.

Well we've come leaps and bounds! Our emergency fund is complete. In Nov we, bought a propane tank (instead of renting) $700.00, a new TV ($400, DAT sales), paid cash or all including the Christmas presents we've bought. DH bough DS11's -4wheeler. Another thing we doing new for 2010 is contributing to dh's FSA plan at work. We will be able to pay for ds11 braces ($2600 OOP) and medical bills with a debit card! They give us...

I think having a print out of your categories and savings is a great idea - out of sight, out of mind. If you are always looking at it - it's always on your mind!

Thanks! We've come to a compromise, a printout of 6 major categories. Seems like DR & others are going back to the way I used to do things, way back in the '90's when I got paid bi-weekly, had no credit cards (who really did?) & raised 2 kids buying most things with cash. I remember using K-mart layaway in August for their Christmas gifts.
