Good points el8, but once again, I'll go by what I KNOW is true. Why did Judas hang himself if he knew he was just playing a part in fulfilling the prophecy?

The Residents a few years back did a song on this very Judas concept and was the first time I ran across it.  However, it is in their later period that I don't find musically interesting.
