Thread: The Geico Gecko

Grammer was the original voice of the gecko from the Geico commercials. Does anyone know why he was replaced? s to the left of me. s to the right. Here I am, stuck in the middle with you!

The original Gecko was kinda like a dick. He didn't even want to be associated with Geico. So they decided to change him. "Ille qui nos omnes servabit"

Isn't that when he said "Don't call me geiko" I did not know he was the orginal voice. Maybe he replaced himself?

I think there was only one with Grammer's voice and I think it was made so that people would pronounce Geico's name correctly. The gecko wasn't trying to disassociate himself from the company, just establishing the company's name.
