Thread: The Game

Too many posts to quote and ditto. I wish we could find out what the writers are thinking; if they actually have a plan or if they are writing the episodes by using MadLibs. One thing I must have missed - why are Kelly's friends around? I thought they lived far-ish away. Can someone fill me in?

My sister goes to Clark-Atlanta, and she called to tell me that she met Pooch Hall (I almost wrote Derwin) yesterday. After she got a picture (and stopped swooning), she was able to ask him if The Game was coming back, and he said it is, but he doesn't know if he'll be on it because he's working on other projects (I've seen him on Accidentally on Purpose). I hope all of the cast members come back--it won't be the same...

Got to see the rerun tonight, some thoughts.... Not trusting Janae at all....she likely used defective condoms after discovering the medical bear in Derwin's drawer. LOVED the outfit Mel had on when she got the ice....it was classy but very sexy, TM has nice legs and a great ass. Tasha's bra was nice but didn't like the shorts. Yeah, but Jason is complaining that he has to downgrade--as if he financially he can't afford something better--when in reality he doesn't have to if he's worth 50 million I imagine that has to do with the fact that Jason isn't willing to buy MORE to replace the things he still thinks he rightfully owns. Jason also lives on a budget of his own making and pretends like those millions are almost non-existent. it is a nice...

The way that some of these women talk to her, Tasha included, I'm surprised Mel hasn't snatched one of these bitches bald. But, she'll always take the high road with them....I guess. Still, I wish, just once, she'd "take her earrings off" and let one of them have it. Most of them deserve it. Amen to this. For all of the times she's been there for them, it still astonishes me how quickly they turn on...

Why do they continue to make Melanie so unlikable. She's so self-centered and dramatic. I can't feel any sympathy for her or care whether Derwin takes her back. Oy, seriously. I never even though Melanie was all that selfish until they decided to make her wanting to talk about Derwin a running gag. And unless someone loses a limb, there's no way they're going to squeeze a drop of sympathy or compassion for the Merwinay...

That was awful. Why do I feel like they skipped an episode or two. I have no idea how Derwin knew about Mel and the Doctor. No clue how he suddenly decided that he wants to make it work with Janae. No explanation or conversation with his exgirl of 10 (?) years. He just throws her out and that's it.... now he's playing house. Kelly is depressed and running. Tasha is making me cringe by singing in the office when it was obvious that...

This article on essence.com mentions BET's involvement with The Game and potential new episodes. Although there are no definite details it is the first mention that I've seen not on a blog, fan site, etc. ETA it was posted on August 25 so it's fairly recent. I would love for The Game to be on BET....but if they are going to cut out the word 'bitch' (ya'll know how Tasha's ghetto behind was!), then I'd rather that they didn't.
