I was just talking to my roommate about sex and they said they're paranoid of STD's... they don't know my status and I always wondered about telling them... I'm not sure what this means now...?

I have decided not to tell anyone. I was just diagnosed two weeks ago and I don't want anyone treating me different. Post Extras:

simple.... it means, 'don't tell them'. Some may disagree, but i see nothing to gain in telling friends, coworkers, room-mates,... even close family members. I think it is so important that you are ready for whichever reaction you get. It is unfortunate that there are so many people out there (and some of them might be our friends, sadly) who are either ignorant or scared or simply don't know how to react and as a result they can react negatively.
