Thread: The Best Supporting Actress Spectacular!: October Edition

There's an actual real chance that two actresses each from two different films could be nominated here. That's...basically the only remotely interesting thing here.
I think Connelly should be listed rather here then in leading for Creation. its like her part in ABM all over again - long suffering wife and hers is no Reese.

Who the hell is Anna Kendrick?
Why does she have so many votes? I really don't think every actor in Up in the Air will receive an acting nod? Lol.
Anyway. Doesn't matter. Since we all know Mo'Nique is winning, we should just lock this thread.

No you're not. All of the women in Nine are Gudio's supporting ladies. And Penelope Cruz is supporting in the film and from early reviews they both have been said to have the same ...
It's all about right campaign and momentum. While Mo'nique's campaign has been growing larger then her breasts every day this entire year, we have yet to see what Moore's campaign will be like. Weinsteins are having crowded slate this year.
I love that she's more interested in the Image award. Mo'nique has a lot more going on than some other actors. I think that's why she's not solely focused on the buzz. Plus, I'm betting that she really didn't think it would be an Oscar thing. So I'm sure it's somewhat disorienting but she seems to be handling it graciously (apart from charging!) as she makes a note to always include how wonderful her...
Lee Daniels on Mo'Nique: Q: There's been a lot of talk about Mo'Nique not wanting to do much press or dealing with the awards circuit stuff for her role in the movie. What's up with that? Daniels: Here's the skinny on Mo'Nique. At the end of this thing, I said to Mo'Nique, "This is award-worthy." She said, "Lee, what are you talking about? You are my award. Did I serve...

I'm glad Queen Latifah got brought up, because I'm wondering if there is a possibility of a Fergie nomination. Yeah, laugh all you want, but Latifah wasn't exactly the most respected person before Chicago (and she still isn't) either. But she was nominated for 1) nailing her song, 2) being in a beloved film (that won BP), and 3) the Weinsteins. Anyone who has been to the official Nine site has heard Fergie's rendition...
