Paul and Ringo were always sensitive that the Let It Be film hardly showed any of them in a very positive light, so they put the kabosh on it being re-released on DVD anytime soon. It's not a very interesting watch...it's basically an hour or so of the band sitting around looking bored and arguing and close-ups of Paul's beard while they try to write new songs. You know I had never actually seen the film until I torrented it a couple of years back. I found that what was going on really wasn't quite as bad as it was reputed to be. There were some tense moments every now and then, but nothing seemed especially intense, nothing much worse than any group of people who spend long periods of time together go through. To think, people were just walking to work and witnessed this along the way. Amazing. And I know it's the Beatles' performance and their film, but is Billy Preston even shown destroying the keys? Where is he, in the back next to his own water fountain?
