Thread: The Battle in Germania

Were the numbers regarding manpower and casualties of the two armies ever mentioned in the movie? By the end of the battle it looked as if more than half of the Romans died.

Five thousand of my men are out there in the freezing mud. Three thousand of them are bloodied and cleaved, two thousand will never leave this place. It's not actually said how many were killed but we know that he has at least 5000 left so I can't imagine he lost half already in the battle. To be honest I didn't notice that so many Romans died myself but I could be wrong. Ihr seid ...

Well a Legion is 5000 men and Max is the General of the Felix LegionS plural so he had to have more than 2. Plus he was Commander of the Armies of the North and General of the Felix Legions. That had to be a whacking lot of men. DCAC
