Thread: Thanksgiving Pies in Tampa

Started 1 month, 2 weeks ago by Miss E
For those of us who are not baking up a storm this year (or any year), where are the best pumpkin, apple, pecan and cherry pies to be found in Tampa? (I guess other desserts are possible, but pies are a must.) We always used to get ours at the Mike's Pies shop in the same plaza with Pane Rustica, but that closed over a year ago; then we ordered Mike's pies from The Junction, but it closed, too!...

Grannybubba makes an insane pie, they refund your money if it isn't the best pie you've ever eaten. We had one last halloween and it lasted about 3 minutes at the in-laws house. www.grannybubba.com. they ship all over the place but they're located about 20 minutes north of here and you can pick up.

JJ Gandy's Pies is in Palm Harbor, which isn't so convenient but their pies are wonderful! Their Pumpkin Chiffon pie is great for Thanksgiving. www.jjgandys.com/ And last year's holiday pie offerings @ Pane Rustica sounded fantastic.

I agree! Grannybubba's Pies ROCK! The "best apple pie ever" lives up to it's name. It's huge! Their Pumpkn is differnet from anything I've ever had. It's out of this world! It combines the best parts of a pumpkin pie and pumpkin cheese cake! You should order NOW for your Thanksgiving and/or Christmas at www.grannybubba.com.

Grannybubba.com is the pie place to have your pies shipped anywhere in the United States they arrive in a Tiffany Style gift box with a red riibbion wrapped around them. So, they make a great gift. They are at least !0" x 3" so mine fed 10 people. A pie taht big handmade for this price is a bargin, I shopped around. Mine was frozen with dry ice so, I just thawed it out and heated it.
