Thread: Thank you for the TSB! Brake pedal feels fine!

Started 9 months, 3 weeks ago by AndyCBR
Same problem here. Told at purchase this is "normal". Presented my car today and TSB to Team Honda in Baton Rouge, LA and they say "no fault found". I am consistently disappointed with the Honda dealer experience and count it as the worst aspect of Honda ownership... Now I get to campaign American Honda and talk to the service manager. I never understood why a dealer...

TSB done by local Honda dealer in Clovis Went yesterday at Honda North in Clovis and showed them the TSB. They checked and indeed the brake is soft. Just got it back this afternoon and they replaced p# 57110-SHJ-A61 and filled with new brake fluid. Now the brake is fine. What a big difference. I now feel much safer with the van. I highly recommend this dealer. Brand new building, ...

It is also wise to keep that documentation stating "no fault found...

Honda has a responsibility of produce a safe product, if they know about a fault with a product they produce, they need to step up and fix it. No dice. Got the "we drove it it and if feels fine", we have 20 years experience, etc. They even went...

Unfortunately when you have problems with a ...

I just got mine fixed today. Thanks again to New Dad New Van and DVPatel for organizing the TSB! They didn't even look at the car when i showed them the TSB printout. They promptly ordered the parts, got it in a week and scheduled for the service. Now i feel much safer.

This tsb doesn't apply for 05, correct? Anyone knows what part they replaced? I wonder if I replace this part on our 05, will the pedal feel improve. thanks

They had the new ABS modulator in stock, and after a manual brake ...

But I did change the pads to EBC Supreme and fluid to Castro GT LMA which firms up the pedal noticeably.

"This tsb doesn't apply for 05, correct?" No. But This SB applied to Accords long before it was extended to 07-08 Odyssey. Maybe in the future. "Anyone knows what part they replaced?" I have noticed that my brakes are soft. Unfortunately, my van is out of warranty (~ 40K miles). Has anyone had any luck with goodwill on this part. I looked it up online and the part is about $600.00.

My Van runs fine, brake pedal is firm. Question: is there a need to address this with the dealer? I rather have this fixed now than later.
