Thread: Thank You Harrison!

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by Franklin
I just wanted to take a moment to extend a big fat THANK YOU to Harrison. I want to thank you for all the overtime. I want to thank you for making a dispatcher's job even more difficult. I want to thank you for p*ssing off customers because they can't track their freight. I want to thank you for the hilarious loads that show up in PT trailers. Ye had a PT trailer show up around 11:30 ...

I see a City driver position open! Are you guys picking up, or whats going on? I put a app in last night, I'm tempted to call the TM, and get more info. I was laid off back in Feb, I was working at the terminal in Austin. Any info would be helpful Thanks

A blast from the past...October 20th, 1997: Quote: As a result of talks that allegedly began before the UPS strike in August, Federal Express has agreed to acquire Caliber Systems in a stock swap valued at $2.4 billion. A new holding company - FDX Corp. - would be created to acquire Caliber. The holding company would include FedEx and RPS as its two primary subsidiaries. ...

Do any centers send out drivers to make pickups and deliveries without a handheld? Keeping them off the "numbers" To allow them to make PU and del. but not add them to the daily roster? Is this against company policy or not? Id like to know.....

We have seen a huge influx of freight over the last couple months at CMH (Columbus, Ohio). I was wondering if this is because of aggressive pricing and or the economy coming around. Whats it looking like at your center?

With it getting bussier comes longer hours, more dock work over and over and over again. It gets old but we have to do it right the first time. Decking, load bars, bracing , strapping, blocking every time all the time or we will just give it back. I run short day run but work the dock, if you are a veteran of your terminal, BE THE VOICE, people will listen to. And also sweep put the friggin trl ...

Since we in the west are experiencing a lot of new procedures for the first time I have a question concerning the "RIGID SEAL TIMES" we were told about from the very beginning. Now that the freight levels are increasing a little bit It has become commonplace to receive my trailers up to an hour late every night at the hub that I turn at.When I ask the supervisor what the problem is he says they ...

I was just wondering if i'm the only one that's noticing that this company is going down the drain and the Red Shirts have there heads up there ***. It's really sad to see a once great company go down, but the writing is on the wall. and i just can't deny any longer. I'm refering to the West mostly cuz it's obvious the East never was by the retarded policies and management style. I ...

What happen to the Fedex race car in Sunday's race at Atlanta? I did see a number 11 Farm Bureau Insurance car. What was Denny Hamlin doing running around in a Farm Bureau Insurance uniform and a Fedex Hat. Where are the uniform police when you really need them. I'l have to go with Franklin on something he has pointed out on one of his long winded threads .... why did we destroy our infrastructure with the layoffs ... and then turn around 3 months later and go after freight ..... don't get me wrong here ..I like the work .. but really ? Also SwampRatt makes a good point ...#1 Take care of our people .... and #3 Honor our commitments

I agree with you momoney. I sure hope that they know what they're doing. You don't want to grow too big too quick. They must of had this in the works for a while. You just don't go and start building and buying without doing any kind of planning first. They must be forecasting a huge volume of freight in coming months ahead.

I was told by a good friend of mine here on the boards that FedEx Freight is moving into the Holland terminal in North East Pa.(Erie Pa.) Also he told me that the terminal is and has been owned by R & L for some time now. We are supposed to move in around Christmas. It is a 40 door terminal with dock bumpers, gas well and lots of room to expand. How about some input from our guys out there.

I have seen Wal-Mart running those Franklin, looks kinda cool if you ask me, yet strange as all get out at the same time!!!
