Thread: Terratec Cinergy 2400i DT TV card not working with Windows Media Center

Started 1 month, 3 weeks ago by christiani
Hey guys. I've just installed Windows Xp SP3 (Media Center Edition), as I have grown tired of Vista taking up so many system resources unneccessarily. Everything seems to be working fine, apart from my TV card. This care seems temperamental when it comes to what programs it likes and dislikes. When running Vista, it worked fine with Windows Media Center, but only when one of the tuners (...

Are you using the BDA drivers? I also have a lot of expensive with this card. The chip / card is excellent, but the drivers from Terratec are shocking. I hacked a driver pack together from the E700 (same card from a different manufacturer) to work with the DT2400i. All the signal dropouts I had instantly vanished, and every other issue. I'll try and dig them out next week if you feel ...

Hey bud. Thanks for the swift reply. I downloaded the drivers labelled... "Cinergy_2400i_DT_Drv_1.1.0.284_XP_Vista_7". Are these ok?

http://ftp.terratec.de/Receiver/Cine...XP_Vista_7. exe You need those - they are BDA. Looks like you have the correct ones

Any more ideas? :s I'm totally stumped. I've never know a piece of hardware to work with one program, but not even register as being attached to the computer with another! lol

For the record, I know the card works fine in XP MCE 2005. I had one in my system for a while, but it occasionally gave a BSOD (in both XP MCE and Vista x64) when the system was shutting down, so I swapped it for a Hauppauge Nova-T 500. When actually in Windows I can't recall having an issue. Have you tried some older drivers? I've packaged together the ones I still have one my system here ....

Don't bother uninstalling the card. Just go to update the drivers and point it at the older ones. I had Roll-up 2, though can't remember if SP3 was out when the card was still in use. Still, it's very unlikely that SP3 has broken it.
