Yes. Star Trek has been way overdone and is actually rather frowned upon by the professional folks. Typically the only way to get a trek ship noticed here is if it's of a totally original design and is very detailed.

Thanks mate, I wonder what I should model then, I know startrek, I guess I could ...
I did this home for a school project. It is the first thing I have done in 3d. The assignment was to pick a home design and model it as real as possible. It is pretty much done and would like some feedback on changes.
Thanks!
also its max and photoshop
Hahahaha, Thanks Tim for the compliment, I'm glad my hard work shows .There's a very good reason for my serious workness. You see I just graduated the Art Institute of Portland 10 weeks ago, and I can't seem to get any employer to check out my reel because I don't have that "in", or if they do, they "love the work, but want more experience" and a couple freelance gigs and an internship isn't ...
Trust me, its all Youtube, my video looks great before their compression. But I actually do have other parts of that I want to model. The landing gear plus lots of rivet holes and things, plus rig it so the landing gear comes out and the wings come up. Then I'll rework the texturing. Technically there is no light coming from the engine or headlights, its a glow effect that is essentially a ...
cant wait to see the inside.. cockpit? yea that i think its really awsome that you are going to continue this definatly when you all done get some epic rust and scratched here and there that would so rock
So for my modeling class we had to design and model a chair. It also had to be modeled completely in NURBS for learning purposes. I didn't seem to have that much of a problem as some of my other classmates. I just had to re-think a few things. I'm planning on putting antenna on the small ladybug. Other than that, I'd just like some overall critique on it. Do you like it? Is there ...
Hi Darkra & kiboSVK, Thanks for the kind words. I am ashamed to say I had not been working very hard on this for the past few days. In fact I was playing with the new cars in the holiday DLC for Forza 3 the whole evening. I am in kind of a mood for my tour next week. So the real work will begin around Christmas time when I return. I will try to cover up the grounds during the festive period. But I will try my very best not to...
Stunning model with beautiful detailing! Reflections on the lacquer can get hard work! But such an old racer doesnt have too many reflections on the body.(!) However, I agree with Stirk, reflections are too strong at the moment, and the picture used doesnt seem perfect for mapped reflections. You could try to use planes beside the car with the picture on it. Very good results you could get with long white planes above the car.

so i was wondering... i know what adaptive sampling does, because of the previous problems i had, but adaptive sampling its ruining my bump map, so anyone know a solution for a problem like this one?? i even tried making the bump bigger, soo there could be less detail in more space... but not working...
Just curious as to what others think about the breast size? Also, I forsee a couple of problems. Maybe you guys can help give me some ideas for achieving a solution. The main problem is that, using a displacement map, for the scale details when I pull the hood out for some cobra action the displacement map doesn't distort properly. The scales just stretch out and that's not how it works If you look at an image of a cobra with the...
