As you sent it special delivery, have you run a trace on Royal Mail to see if the package has been delivered yet?

Hi All, sorry to bring this up again. Phoned tax credits office almost every day for a week and they STILL can't even confirm if they received my claim form despite it being sent 19th October. I'm at my wits end and its really getting me down. They keep fobbing me off saying they will escalate it but still nothings happening. Does anyone know if they have guidelines to work to? I read on the...

I'm going through the same thing, sent off cliam on 3rd October, they still haven't recieved it. From the date you post your claim they have 14 days for it to be scanned on to their system. If it isn't they start a trace. They do this for 3 weeks, after which if it still hasn't turned up they send out a new form. I know this as I had the manager on last night as my 3 weeks are up, and ...

Hi Starnight, thanks for your reply. I have searched the forums and there are people with new babies who are 4 months old with no tax credits yet - and one woman has a 10 month old grandchild and still no tax credits. They keep "losing" and "not receiving" these forms. They are manipulating their own rules of 14 days to get it on the system and can't make emergency payments unless on the system...

Just to add, I am in a similar situ to you starlight, my partners just started a new job and its 4k less than his last, I don't work because I have a child with disability and suffer from depression and carpal tunnel. All we have coming in is the child allowance and lower rate DLA mobility/Middle rate care. Partner does not get paid until end of month and even then its only enough to pay the...
