What is your favorite professions for tanking? And what would be best for getting the most out of your gear? Since the "new" thing is to stack stamina, what would give the best benefit? Im currently JC/Mining. And that gives me the +51 STA gems and the Toughness buff (+60 STA) I am considering JC/Enchanting and JC/BS. But as far as i can tell they all offer about the same (+60 sta from ...

For simplicity, assume JC is the best for tanking, DPS and healing (which it is). The second primary profession depends on what you want. If you occasionally DPS, want to PvP, or need avoidance gear, you'll want to get BS instead of mining. If you only tank, will never stop tanking, and see no reason to ever do anything else, you'll be fine holding on to mining. Also, only a true min/maxer...

JC gives +63 stam, other professions 60 max. JC and BS have the highest customizability out of all professions thanks to being able to use different gems than just pure stam or just raw stats (AP) that other professions give.

The main reason to drop Mining is to benefit an offspec. Besides, nothing tells us they may not change everything regarding that next expansion. for example, I was a leatherworker / skinner on a rogue. At that time skinning had no advantage whatsever so I dropped it for enchanting. A couple of weeks later, bang skinning gets crit.

stick with jc/mining what would ench give?, 30 stam on rings.. so enchanting = 60 stam bs gives 2 extra sockets, gemmed with stam gems for example bs = 60 stam which you already get from mining
