Thread: Tagamet?

I've been doing some internet searching and came across taking Tagamet for outbreaks. I guess this is traditionally used with acid reflux/heartburn. Has anyone heard of this, and has it been effective for anyone?

Hi angelwings, When our system is acidic it wreaks havoc throughout our body...stresses it out and causes inflamation and all sorts of probems. Some people contoll this simply with diet. tagamet works by boosting your cd8 cell count which is the main type of immune cells that fight herpes. the exact mechanism isn't known because its not been well studied for herpes. Two people have told me it only works for about a month then quits working. It can also be dangerous if taken with valtrex/acyclovir/famvir. you can check out this info on a small study using zinc and tagament (...
