I didn't mean to do the on purpose, I wanted to say 2008 and then end it with a parenthesis, but this stupid sight wouldn't let me re-edit my post properly. Anyway, this was just to show the statistics and numbers behind the WWE and TNA curtains.

Here are the PPV Buyrates for the past two years between TNA and WWE according to the PPV Buyrate numbers they released this year. I couldn't find the PPV numbers for Turning Point 2007. Final Resolution (2007) - 34000 Final Resolution 2008 - 20000 New Year's Revolution (2007) - 220000 Royal Rumble (2007) - 525000 Royal Rumble 2008 - 534000 Against All Odds (2007) - 23000 ...

Judgement Day has been faltering about and is probably one of the more forgettable pay-per-view's every year. One Night Stand on the other hand usually has a better card thanks to the gimmick matches, and is overall the better PPV...

I'm willing to bet Lockdown drew a bit more than the average only because some people didn't want to miss seeing Joe winning the title for the very first time.

Summerslam this year i think had a low buy rate because their title matches weren't great the best one by the looks of it was Matt Hardy vs Mark Henry and that sucked. JBL vs CM Punk could have been good if they added a gimmick match but they didn't it lost buy rates because of that

The main matches pushed for Summerslam last year was the HIAC and Batista-Cena for the first time ever. They should have put Jeff vs HHH there and it would have been a bit higher the buyrate. Yet, those two drew less than Orton-Cena and the return of HHH and Mysterio. It also drew less than Hogan vs Orton and DX vs McMahons as well as Cena-Edge.

PWInsider wrote: The first estimate for WrestleMania XXV's buyrate is 970,000, this includes international PPV buys. WrestleMania XXIII did 1.25 million buys, while WrestleMania XXIV did 1.05 million buys. The number is down, but WWE is said to be satisfied with the figure, especially due to the economy. That would put this buyrate as the fourth largest of all time. ...

I typically revive this thread when new PPV buyrate info comes out, so please don't get mad at me. WWE released their 3rd Quarter firgures today and although attendance and television profits were up, PPV business is down. Here are the buyrates for the Spring/Summer/Fall Pay-Per-Views for the past 3 years. Backlash 194000 ( 2007 ) 200000 ( 2008 ) 182000 ( 2009 ) Judgment Day 242000 ( 2007 ) 252000 ( 2008 ) 228000 ( 2009 ) Extreme...
