Well, Greg Weisman and company made this series in the hope of forming a definitive portrayal of the character. Now, based off the first two seasons, do we feel that they have accomplished this goal? There's a lot of arguments to be made here: definition of "definitive", various character portrayals, thematics, etc. In my personal opinion, to be the definitive portrayal, it is required for you...

First off, I would say that the original comics have to be the overall definitive portrayal of spider-man, as that is where he was created and where all the greatest moments have happened, and also where every show or movie in some way draws some of their major ideas.
