Thread: TFO Professional blank?

Hey Guys, Two Questions: 1) I am putting together a 9ft 5wt, 4pc TFO professional for a guy in a few weeks, but before I ordered the blank I wanted to ask if any of your have fished one before. The price is good, and the no-fault lifetime warranty is great, but I have personally never fished one. I did read one review that said that their production rod on this blank is pretty dang fast...

I bought a factory finished TFP Pro 9' 6wt. when they first came out, several years ago. It has been by go-to 6wt ever since. It would be best considered to be a moderately fast rod, and is a pretty good "entry level" rod, light in weight, well balanced and easy to handle. I can't imagine your customer being disappointed with it. The production rods do use some pretty cheap guides, and ...

I do not own that rod, but a friend of mine purchased that rod as his entry level rod. I have fished it, I like a medium to med Fast (but more medium) action and I enjoyed fishing the TFO which was pretty fast for me. This friend has fished it for small trout in Colorado and larger trout and greyling in Alaska where most people were fishing 7wt. I think it is a good rod for the money. ...

I threw a streamer through the tip of my Five Rivers FT last winter. I went to the supplier where I got the blank to talk about my options. I walked out with $30 less in my pocket and a new tip section. Gotta love when a company and their suppliers back up a customer like that. I think different companies describe their no-fault-warrantees in different ways. TFO has a service charge, as ...

I bought a factory finished TFP Pro 9' 6wt. when they first came out, several years ago. It has been by go-to 6wt ever since.
