Hi All, I don't own any French BD's, but read in other forums that some or all have "forced subtitles", that cannot be removed in standalone BD players. Software can sometimes get around this. But for a standalone, has anyone been able to remove the subtitles on those where they were forced? Thanks!

Thanks for your help! Guess I better investigate how to build a HT PC, LOL

I watched the Rescue Dawn Blu-ray tonight and seriously guys, the forced subtitles were very noninvasive and didn't eat up much of the screen. It only bothered me because I felt compelled to read the subs even though I perfectly understood the audio... Oh well.

yea if I get "in the zone" I can tune out the subtitles. Still annoying though eh? I need to fix my HTPC!
