Thread: TBI wiring???

We are thinking about breaking down and getting the painless wiring kit..our buddy got one for his 454 tbi..it have the correct injectors and everything. Dunno...haven't had a chance to play with the truck since we got it home due to the weather and workin on customer vehicals.

No , It does not matter what engine you have nor what system it was from. You can use the 4.3 system on a 350 if you want. You can also do the same for the Vortec. You can swap a 305 where there was a 350 and a 350 where there was a 305. When it comes to emissions and such and maybe that last bit of performance it will matter that you have the corect matched parts. But other then that it will still run out like a champ. Been there, done that,...

did you hook up th o2 sensor yet that might be a problem.

Do you have an inline fuel psi gauge?

If you dont have one I got one in a 86 burban you can have.

computer problems? buddy of mine had that problem with his and had to change the computer out

i was talking to a friend today about your truck and check the egr... if it has one, disconnect it and try again

The tbi should run at 13 psi , Also make sure you have good clean grounds. These systems a little picky with the grounds.
