I thought the 2012 trailer was good eye candy. I don't think anyone expects it to make sense.

The film is only coming out in Spain next week. I guess it came out months ago in the US and even in the UK. What did you guys think? (Please don't spoil it if you can.) I saw a trailer of it and I really, really want to go see it. I thought the "dirtyness" of the image kind of new and appealing, plus the plot might be somewhat original. The sad thing is, I might not even be able to find one theater in Madrid where they play it in Original Version. Spanish people are not too keen on subtitles and they like everything dubbed. Bummer.

I wrote a very brief review of District 9 for my Babylon 5.1 column. The review would have been longer, but I can't afford to quit my day job, and classes started Monday. I look forward to reading some substantial reviews here.

Saw it last Friday at the Renoir cinema in Madrid. Found the linked film site while browsing today. has a reasonable selection of Old sf films which while not at cinema standard resolution are quick downloading and quite watchable full screen (well 1024x768) http://www.classiccinemaonline.com/1/in ... Itemid=108 Enjoy Lee

Found the linked film site while browsing today. has a reasonable selection of Old sf films which while not at cinema standard resolution are quick downloading and quite watchable full screen (well 1024x768) http://www.classiccinemaonline.com/1/in ... Itemid=108 Enjoy Lee
