No insult intended with the age thing - sorry it sounded tacky. I'm actually a woman over 50, not a fanboy, and have no trouble with personal taste that isn't the same as mine. I just really thought you were about 16, and tastes do change as we age. What I went for 50 years ago is not what I've come to understand as valuable over the years. I hope what I go for 10 years from now isn't the ...

I second Pan's Labyrinth. And I'd like to add: Fargo. "We learned more from a three minute record than we ever learned in school"

Let me ask you this takatomon what do you like? I'm just curious...what are 20 or so of your favorite films? "Stick with me baby, and you'll be fartin' thru silk!"

Just saw THE GODFATHER, from beginning to end, for the first time, last weekend and it didn't have a lot of impact on me either.

Definitely agree about "It's A Wonderful Life", "Sin City", "Big Fish" and "Ed Wood". "We learned more from a three minute record than we ever learned in school"

Def agree with JUNO. Haven't seen SLUMDOG or CRASH. For a movie that won Best Picture, I've read a LOT of negative reviews of CRASH!

I know! I really don't see the appeal of it. The cast was good, but none of the performances were particularly impressive, and the shootout was fantastic, but that's definitely not enough to redeem an otherwise mediocre movie. I had to force myself to finish it. But I do like The Insider and Collateral. If there's a flaw, it's human. It always is.

How is it shallow? I just prefer Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers instead of the Dark Knight. I just like to watch Repo Man instead of Pulp Fiction. I'd rather watch Suspiria instead of American Beauty. I'd much rather watch Howard the Duck instead of Transformers. I'll take my copy of Frankenhooker instead of Lord of the Rings. Hell, I'll watch Phantasm over Star Wars any day of the week. It's all in what you prefer, and no...

Well, I encourage people to make up there own mind but, of course, that means that you have to see two movies that I consider to be horrible... If you're in line with my estimation of Juno maybe you should save your time and money.

I can't even tell you how many times i tried watching it, it just couldn't keep my attention, and as far as everyone saying how much of a great actor Humphrey Bogart was, i still don't see it, right now he's 0-2 with me, i couldn't stand The Maltese Falcon with him either "Are you gonna bark all day little doggie.........or are you gonna bite?"
