But even after Honda stopped selling the NSX, it was still being campaigned in Japan's SuperGT racing series. No more, says Honda, as the ...

the car did have a good run, it should be able to rest peacefully now in the history books.
but why are they changing the 2010 rules?
Maybe because there has not be another mid-engine Japanese supercar for about 20 years :)
That wouldn't be a problem if it was not because of the history of complaints about how much should a mid-engined car be ...
Now what? Well they have a drift Element maybe they will race it too, without the dog ofcourse.
I feel this is the end of their time in the SuperGT series now. The car was way past it's sell by date anyway. I did not see the sense in racing a car that's been 4 years dead.

Lets see....Toyota will build 500 or so LFA's for public consumption. I wonder if there is any connection to Super GT?

There is no doubt on that. And it was also mentioned that the Honda "halo" car was destined for SuperGT duty. Sigh.

Whats very clear is that they wont be in the 2010 season. They have nothing to race with. The FR v10 is history, unless they are running some secret development that no one knows about.

I'm just curious as to what it actually is. Widened s2000 with the v10 dropped in? or a stretched civic with the IRL, formula nipppon v8. Anyone have any ideas? any other related news on this? I was just about to post this Autoblog news bit...
Very good news. Hopefully they do have a sinsible platform on which to build. After all in the 300 class cars like the WRX which is about as aerodynamic as a brick competes well against purpose built cars like the one run by Arta. san-tokie wrote: ARTA finishes 1st at Motegi! What I can't understand is why there was no anouncement at a big event like the Tokyo Motor Show?? Can the big brass at Honda be so naive of good PR that they couldn't see some milage in such an anouncement????? Some times I really do despair of their lack of savy :(
