( Good for Microsoft they have been improving theyre browser since IE 7, but Is there any other browser test that can back this up. IMO one test lab is not enough to prove. , )

( Dear friends: That`s not true, probably Micro Soft Paid an independent company to publish that comment; as everybody involved in the cyber world know that the most secure browser right now in FIREFOX ,Nobody loves the Internet more than we do. But, scammers, spammers and trigger-happy viruses are true threats, so we need to stay alert while using the Web ...

( "According to a recent independent study..." "Interestingly Microsoft funded the entire report..." Microsoft bought and paid for the results they wanted. How is this an "independent study?" As an I.T. professional, I will say that IE8 is more secure than any previous version of IE. That's somewhat like saying that 1/2-inch hardware cloth is better at ...

( Just a tip: If you have to explain your analogy in the same post, it wasn't a very good analogy to begin with. , )

( And who uses IE 8? An unused browser is more secure, even if Micro$oft funded the study. , )

( I think it is EXTREMELY POOR \(and suspect\) reporting to declare in the opening sentence "According to a recent independent study..." and THEN farther down reveal that one of the study participants PAID for the study! COME ON!!! ANY begining journalism student knows better. Really makes me wonder if Microsoft PAID the author of this story as well... ...

( "Independent" meaning by a separate entity. We can argue the possibility that it was slanted toward MS all day \(though no testing organization worth its salt that wants to be taken seriously would let money slant its reporting\), but MS itself did not perform the testing. --Nick PCW Assistant Editor Nick Mediati - Assistant Editor...

( So is a 6 year old girl qualifies to dust the top of my dresser? IE8 is the worse browser out there, it is unsecured, web pages are so slow, it makes dial up seems like the fastest speed in the world, and the last time I opened up IE8 to check to see what time a movie starts, I thought to myself, wow I could had went to the movies and came back and the ...

( Hackers have repeatedly broken into IE8 faster than they have broken into Firefox 3.5. "Pwn-2-Own" contests at the Blackhat Hacker Conferences have shown this for two years in a row. Chrome is doing better this year than last year, but there are still serious privacy issues with anything from Google. , )
