Thread: Studio's ruin another potentially great movie

i completely agree with you. I admit, 160min is a bit long for a blockbuster film, but cutting 70min?! thats not trimming unnecessary fat, obviously important scenes were lost! I'm a fan of Mathieu Kassovitz - i liked Gothika, and his french films La Haine and Crimson Rivers were great. i think he deserved better than this.

yeah i heard they cut all that footage out because they were over budget and ran out of money in post production. Hopefully FOX and Kassovitz will revisit this and restore the scenes making a true directors cut. I have a feeling theres a real good movie here like Blade Runner. the DVD version does suck, i agree with everyone else, feels like theres plenty of holes.

they always do. even before the advent of the talkies studio's were mucking with peoples films, thinking that the person's film they're producing may flop they stick their noses in in order to make it a hit, but half the time it usually does flop.
