ABF Freight System, Inc.®, is often cited as best in class not only in service to customers but also in support of its employees.

I just want to second that! ABF has to be one of the best trucking company's to work for union or non-union. I have always been treated fairly there. The only ones that don't get treated fairly are probably the ones that don't deserve a job at ABF. We have some laid off people that deserve their jobs back. We also have a few laid off that come in when they are called in and do next to ...

Many of my friends that worked at Churchill Truck Lines with me, came over to ABF after Churchill closed during the freight strike in '94.I've always been told that ABF is a class operation. I'm hoping to find out for myself as I've put my application in.

I think ABF is the same as any other company out there. Sure they might treat you a little better at the dispatch window but as far as being head and shoulders above the rest I don't agree. I have been asked favors before like begging me to take an 8 for 10 instead of 10 for 12 or to not charge for triple time when switching out trailers but if I were to go in and ask them to stick me back on the...

Gentlemen, I would like to add to this discussion please don't confuse the proper way of treating a worker with that they care about you or your family. ABF is a good job worked by thousands of good men & women, teamsters & management alike.......however you can never forget they care about you in only the way you effect the bottom line. They pay what the teamster contract says ...

Any company in big business always has the bottom line in sight. I just like a job where management is not always riding your *** (unless you deserve it). If you do your job to best of your ability you get paid a decent wage with benefits with out someone always trying to stab you in the back for their promotion.

ABF is the best company I have ever worked for. I worked for CF, Yellow, and Roadway. And ABF has treated me better than any of them. I am glad I decided to To leave Roadway five years ago, the best decision I have made in my working life.
