Jason Richardson and Jared Dudley in the Desert! Raja & Boris will be missed, but Jason & Jared are playing amazing basketball for us. We get a better offensive player in Jason, and a much harder working player in Dudley. Go Suns!!!
Absolutely. A young defensive minded scrapper like Dudley is just what we needed. Then you have Jason Richardson who is still young and lighting it up?... sounds like a fabulous trade.
Getting rid of Shaq was good too. I don't know if any of you have watched the Cavs at all but I had a chance to watch a few of their games and lets just say Shaq is the anti-Nash, he's a good player but instead of making everyone around him better he makes everyone worse.
I think Richardson is a very underrated player. I think he came to the Suns at a very inopportune time in which there was a coaching change and poor morale over all. I remember seeing him play at Michigan St. and Tom Izzo had nothing but great things to say about him. It's unfortunate about his DUI but I know many great people who made very poor and irresponsible decisions regarding alcohol. ...

Most importantly GMAT, and I do respect your opinion on this, given that we kept who we kept, perhaps with the way Jrich can be useful in a Nash led team, and given the truly amazing performance of Dudley to date, any discrepancy in overall "talent", could be compensated by the overall improvement in team age and other intagibles? And if Jrich can really stay focussed maybe we can be ok with ...

That trade didnt benefit the Bobcats too much...they are only a .500 ball club.An improvement from being a cellar dwellar, true but you speak as if they are a above 500 ball club.Sure he & Raja helped them improve but thats as far as that goes Plus Diaw once again came into camp out of shape. He's averaging 12ppg,6rpg and 4.8apg which is decent numbers but he isnt going to change that franchise around and thats the best you will...
I think Frye/Richardson is a more versatile duo than Bell/Diaw, i know you love Diaw but i just don't think he is ever going to put it all together consistently. It depends upon how you define versatility. The three-point shooting and athleticism may be better with Frye and Richardson, but Diaw and Bell offer superior passing and defense. Of course, Frye came much later, which is why a new season is a new season. The...
well, i think the outside shooting touch that diaw showed for the bobcats last season won't be replicated again over an extended period of time, though id be happy to be wrong as i like the bobcats and i like diaw as a player. as for his giving a consistent effort over the long haul, history tends to be a pretty telling forecaster of the future. the same can be said for stoudemires defensive effort. until either proves otherwise, their...

I agree that the defensive ranking could be better, but I wonder whether that is skewed by the huge % of away games, and the difficulty of the schedule. Once we even up the schedule with more home games and a few more against weaker teams I think the defensive ranking will improve, nicely. Not top ten but I could see us ranked around 12th, if we keep playing as we are. Time will tell, but with the overall better commitment we are getting from...
