Thread: Started CSD today 11-5-09, HELP!!

Started 1 month ago by erica
I started this diet today. Can anyone tell me what to realistically expect? 5'3, 117lbs and would LOVE to lose at least 6lbs. Is this realistic? Also, I did enjoy 1 cup of coffee this morning (no sugar or cream). Help.

Erica, I have no realistic answer for you. Realistic will be what you've lost after your 7 days on CSD. It all depends on how much body fat and water you have stored. You will show some loss, but I don't know exactly how much. You are small in weight and height. Give it a try it may be well worth the try. This may not seem very encouraging to you, but because of your current Stats I ...

Trini, thank you for yor words of wisdom and encouragement earlier today. I have to admit that this is not easy. Today has been much more difficult than I ever anticipated. I am a sensible eater who decided to do this to kick start weight loss of approximately 6lbs. I just cannot seem to lose these any other way!! Yet, today I was starving and craving foods (chips, popcorn, chocolate???????) that...

Erica, You are asking me to go waaay back to my first week, and I cannot say for sure what if any thing I craved (probably a glass of Wine ). I hope you are aware that you can have Soup whenever you feel hungry. Cravings for certain things normally come very strong for the things we knowingly cannot have. Yeah, psychological !!! Make sure you drank enough water and that you are peeing, ...

Well I survived my first day ladies and gents. I have not weighed myself yet as I would like to wait at least until the 4th or 5th day. I feel better today (day 2), not soo hungry yet. Although I noticed that when I got up this morning my skin felt a bit tight, water retention? I drank two glasses of water and feel better. I have been peeing every 15 minutes since yesterday and have had regular ...

Erica; Sounds like things are moving along ( no pun intended) as it should. I hope weekends will not be a problem for you, as it seem to be for many. You are doing sooooo GREAT. Can't wait for end of week weight. I must confess I just had to weigh myself daily, which motivated me to continue. Good Luck

Trini/ladies, I stepped on the scale after the last post and showed a loss of 1lb!!! I was a bit shocked as I am feeling extremely bloated and feel as though I ate too much fruit/soup yesterday, day 1. I am not that hungry today and even found myself forgetting to eat until 1:30 pm. I am not one for skipping meals or snacks (usually 6 small meals a day). I am taking my son to see Christmas Carol ...

Hi Erica; As I mentioned, you don't appear to have much to lose, yet you lost 1 lb already so there is hope for you to lose a few more. STAY FOCUSED.. YOU DON'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING TO STOP THE LOSS FROM OCCURING..... Since I am not sure what your preferences are, did you google "negative calorie foods". Choose from those lists. Eat more vegetables than fruit since vegetables have ...

Trini, I am happy to say that as of yesterday (day 4), I show a loss of 3lbs!! I am extremely happy!! I was able to hang in there throughout the weekend. It was extremely difficult as I had to bake brownies, smell pizza and a bunch of foods that I know I cannot and should not eat. Aside from the 3lbs (keeping in mind that today is day 5 and I haven't weighed in), I can see change in my waistline....

Hi Trini, Yes, the foods that I added to the soup are "negative calorie foods" as you kindly suggested when I started CSD. I looked up a list of the foods. I added 2 varieties of zucchini (white & italian), spinach, and extra mushrooms. I would think that this would be ok. I will weigh myself today and see if I have lost any additional weight. I will keep you posted. Do you eat the baked potato on day 2? I left it out...

Erica; My bad . In my over zealousness I only focused on the word Squash, not "Italian" Squash. As for Potatoes ... Potatoes are a trigger for me, meaning, If I have more than one in my home, I will eat it. This is why I only buy one at a time when I am doing CSD. When I was doing CSD originally, I will sometimes forget to get the Potato and have go back to the store for just that one item. Since I am an on going CSD-er, if I...
