Thread: Star Trek: TOS 2.0

Started 1 year, 9 months ago by SBro
Has anyone seen any of the Original series which has had it's facelift done (2.0 I think they are calling it). Backgrounds have been digitally inserted, music re done (not sure whether they have remastered to 5.1/stereo) etc. I think it has been released on HD-DVD (only) but I'm not going to buy HD just to watch this. Also, if anyone has heard when it's going to be released on Blue-Ray or ...

Yes SBro! Has been seen. Check out our review on SCI FI PI (link below). It looks awesome, and if you can grab a cheap HD player, you can also grab bunches of HD's at super cheap prices, so it actually makes sense, as the HD upscales DVDs excellently, but reports have come in that Toshiba are buying up players, so it might be hard to get locally. Today, Yul Brynner's Birthday TCM had a marathon..included was of course West World....BUT Prior to that they showed The Brothers Karamazof....its on again 20:30 this evening....07/07.. Why, and whats this got to do with the Sci-Fi Chay ..... you can see a very baby face Captain Kirk ,as it is said to be Williams Shatner's big movie debut.

Brynner was the original Terminator in Westworld. If anyone is a fan of the '84 James Cameron epic (one or two, surely), you really have to see the John Crichton (yes, that John Crichton) penned classic that was its progenitor. Brynner plays a robot that, just like the Enrgizer bunny, keeps going and going and going!
