Thread: Standby on a connecting flight instead of direct?

Let's say I am ticketed SEA-LAS/LAX. Is it possible to stand by for earlier flights going SEA-PDX-LAS/LAX? Or am I stuck with direct flights only?

You could stand-by with the added connection but, in your example, there would be no guarantee for the PDX-LAX/LAS segment. They'd probably encourage you to do same-day confirmed.

I don't think OLCI will offer same-day confirmed that would go from a direct routing to a connecting, which is why I asked about standby. This is something I expect to have to do at the airport on the day of flight, if it's going to work at all. The flights in question actually look better going SEA-PDX-LAS than SEA-LAS at the time I...

I don't think OLCI will offer same-day confirmed that would go from a direct routing to a connecting, which is why I asked about standby. This is something I expect to have to do at the airport on the day of flight, if it's going to work at all. The flights in question actually look better going SEA-PDX-LAS than SEA-LAS at the time I want to move to (the PDX-LAS flight has a lot more open seats, whereas SEA-LAS is very close to...
