Thread: St Peter Great House

Started 1 week, 4 days ago by KKYY
Hi, we are thinking of going to St Peter Great House one day during our vacation on Sapphire beach and have a couple of questions. 1. Does it (Great House) have a restaurant where we can have a lunch? (Is it good if it exists?) 2. If there is no restaurant right there, where is the nearest one? What about the Hull bay restaurant and Hull bay beach? Worth going there? 3. ...

No, there's no restaurant. It's probably better to do this tour in the morning, because the best view is from the roof, and it gets EXTREMELY hot up there in the afternoon. I think Sib's Restaurant is the closest. Right down the street from Sib's is Mafolie Hotel, and they have a restaurant. Sorry, don't know about Hull Bay.

No restaurant at the Great House and very little daytime food available onthe whole Northside - Sibs is not open for lunch - the pool bar at Mafolie generally does have some food available but the restaurant at the hotel is only open for dinner. Going all the way down to Hull Bay is really the only option - simple beach fare but a pleasant ambiance. The Grille room at ...

Thanks for the info on Acacia. We had been at the restaurant in March/April when it had been changed from Indigo to whatever, and were not imporessed with the food or the service. But, now that you have offered us this glowing review, we will try it again for lunch, which, btw, we had on our way to the Great House. We also ate there once (as Indigo) on our way to the beach. Good ...

I am not sure that was a "review" as Entree.vi is a paid advertising site - I did press- read all reviews- and it said there were none. It was glowing though.

As I said, I haven't been there. I only posted the menu description. Post back if you go there & let us know how it.

One more question: I noticed in he pictures there are a lot of stairs at St Peter House. Where is the parking? Top or bottom of the hill. Are there many stairs from parking to the observation point ? I am asking because we'll have baby and my elderly parents with us and the question is should we go alone (and leave the parents and the baby in the condo) or should we go all ...

Good location for North Shore activities.
