I haven't read the books so I don't know how the story is going to continue. I would like to know if Dumbledore is really dead and not going to return in the next movies? If so why did he died just like that without anything special. If not, how is he going to come back?
Thanks!

Normally I would suggest reading the book. But in this case I will answer you. Dumbledore is realy dead and he does show up in the last film. But I won't tell you how this is possible.

Gosh Drake, not everyone likes reading, even when it comes to Harry Potter. Just accept it. And just because someone gives an explanation to someone instead of saying, 'read the book', doesn't make them lower than a snake's belly and pond scum.

Read the book.

To add to pete's response, I will say while it appears he died "just like that" when you read the books, you kinda bond to the characters more, so it had more of an impact, especially with Snape being the one that did it, and perhaps it would have more impact if you watch the preceding 5 films in a row just before watching this.
There's also more to it than just what we saw, as you'll learn ...
Well for me I did had an Impact, I just didn't understand why a great wizard like himself would first be pwnd by Draco and then just Avada Kedavra'd. But I read a summery of the next book and I now know a few things more..
And btw I don't understand why everyone is whining about reading the book if you have a plot question. I only wanted to know one thing and therefore I must read the whole ...
No, but people like you Arie are too lazy to look up your own answers.
You could have easily found out without pestering the rest of us about a stupid plot question. Try not to be so damned lazy and find out answers for yourself, or do you just enjoy life handed to you on a silver platter?

This has nothing todo with silver platters. I know this kind of stuff happens all the time on forums. There is group who knows much about the subject, and theres the noob who's asking noob questions. I for one am not someone who's going to say gtfo noob, use google. I always help them out. For me a little effort and for him a great help. In this case finding the summery was indeed not that hard, ...
Draco beat Dumbledore because he let Draco beat him! The same thing with getting killed. (Although that killing curse is generally not block-able, so I doubt he could have stopped Snape even if he wanted to [which he didn't]).

Has it ever occurred to you that most people are not die-hard Harry Potter fans? every mintue of every second of every Day of every YEar of every DECADE I watch the movies but since this is a series of 8 movies you can have questions about the plot. yes you can but only if they are represented well and there not in the movies Why not ask them on a movie forum? Yes? O wait, we ARE on a movie forum. We're not on the Harry Potter fan forum...
The one not getting it is you. It is not up to you to decide if I am being lazy. I'm asking a question on a forum, not directly to you. If that was the case, or you were a moderator on this forum, only then you can behave the way you do right now. You are rude, impolite and insulting. --- Check out my list @ http://www.imdb.com/mymovies/list?l=30854878 !
Some of you guys have a holier-than-thou attitude towards the guys who have not read the book and want to ask a question. You act like reading the books is some big accomplishment, and that only people who have read the series should have access to that information. Actually, just the opposite. We want those people to have access to that information. And what is the primary source of such information? The original novels, and the reading of...
" when i get medical students asking me specific anatomy questions during operations do you think i tell them to go away and read the entire 1000 page Gray's Anatomy book? " Why would you, they can just watch the tv show... "Come on, Steve. We've got a diem to carpe!"
"and some of you have holier then thou attitudes about NOT wanting to read the books!" Not really. I think that people should read the book. If they are that intrested in the movie. If not then I have no problem with them asking a few questions. "YEs becuase its not one or two questions its a million questions well if you dont have the time to read all the books how do you have enough time to watch the...

It's disappointing how Rowling resorted to this kind of writing in the end after having maintained a darkness throughout all the books, and written one great ending after the other.
True, Mentrilo. I have a long list of books I am trying to read. Likey will die before I finish reading them all. So, asking a question on a book they have decided they do not have time for, or have not gotten around to is not the end of the world. Just cause they have not read it does not mean they are lazy. I just see no reason for them to have a lingering question till they do read that far. Harry Potter ranks with oxygen
Arie88, ignore Drake. He/she dedicates their life to praising the books and trashing the films non-stop. And if you like the films, Drake hates you even more. Formerly known as sy24 Harry Potter films
