Thread: Sooo... who actually bought MW2, and what are your thoughts?

I did! Picked it up today after classes with some of my Reward Zone certificates.
I haven't played any of the SP yet, but the MP is indeed fun. Is it changed from CoD4? Yes, and somewhat dramatically. If you've played CoD4 on the 360, the MP system is *exactly* like that. Is it bad? Yes, if you like the ridiculousness of 32 players on maps designed for 12-16.
But all in all it ...
Yes, the second disc is just fine. How many people are really affected by that anyway?
As for my ping, well... there's no number, just some bars like the console versions. If I had to put a number on it by feeling, it's probably 90-100. I always get 3/4 bars.
However, it doesn't get in the way of gameplay at all. I just went 5:1 K/D in a match with 3/4 ping bars. It's not like people ...
Oh well that's good news I guess. 90-100ping is quite high for me, I was
used to 20-50 when I was playing CoD 4. This matchmaking system is using
P2P right? So the one with slowest upload will affect everything. Should be
ok as long as I could find Swedish servers so I know upload doesn't blow
out of promotions hehe.
BTW, it's only 9v9 in a select few modes. Standard TDM is 6v6, exactly like the consoles.
That said, I don't have a problem with it, but I can see 12 players being too few for some. The action is still fast, however, because the maps are pretty small.

6v6 is perfect in ...
Well I bought it, played some campaign, and then jumped into the multiplayer. It's an absolute blast, plays well on the PC and is good times. If you loved the original Modern Warfare you'll fit right into this easy.

There's a FoV fix being developed on widescreengamingforum.com. There's a working version out but it's rather clumsy, you have to alt-tab out, activate the fix, go back in game and switch the resolution for it to effect.

SP mode is packed with none stop action and the game is more difficult and longer with more levels then previous version. I had my ass handed to me every 5 min on hardest difficulty setting If you finish SP mode, you will get a Museum level. Thats even harder then the game it self. Havent played MP yet, so cant comment on the quality on online play.
