I'm not really into the whole "space" thing. I always hated Star Wars and I couldn't get into Starcraft and Supreme Commander enough to keep my interest. Which is odd because I've got no problems with Star Trek (at least the first series and the Next generation. I never got into any of that weird "new" stuff)... I guess it's because, crazy as it sounds, Star Trek is a little less ridiculous....

Well, time for me to start another thread, on a new game that just came out!
MASS EFFECT!
I'v, along with many others around here have been waiting for this game.
I started the game only like 3 hours ago. VERY addicting! it feels sooo much like KOTOR...but more refined! And the combat system is NICE! It has a FPS feel, while at the same time...still feels like an RPG. These ...

Good review . I really liked the first KOTOR, but not so much the second one. I'll probably try this one in a few months when I'm done with all the other awesome games out right now.

Well...i'v never watched Battlestar Gallactica...as odd as that sounds coming from me.
Honestly...it feels alot more like Star-Trek. but thats what i'm most familiar with ( that is, most of my StarTrek knowledge is from The Next Generation ).
There is a central alliance that is comprised of many different alien civilizations. And a counsel of the biggest/most advanced species run...

Yah, you might want to wait on more reviews/more info on the game.
and yeah, there are "magic" powers in this game. though...not really magic. From what i gather...its part mind control, and part technology. i honestly havn't figured it out myself, as i'm hardly ever a "magic" user. So the 2 characters that back me up compensate for the lack of powers that my main character lacks....

Like rainless I to am not a big fan of the whole Star Wars/Trek thing. I played KOTOR when it came out and hated it.
However after watching some of the reviews for this game I'm strongly considering picking it up.
