Thread: Sony bravia TV getting HD picture but no sound

Thanks for the replies. We've searched our TV menus for any mute functions but can't see it, will have another look. The Sky engineer did connect us via scart lead as well so we are currently watching semi-HD via the scart lead. We only have 1 HDMI input on the TV. I've seen threads mentioning a possible software fault with Sony Bravia TVs, has anyone heard of/tried that solution?

Got a Bravia myself and haven't had any problems with Sky HD, sounds like you need to get Sony onto this.

I've a Samsung TV. Hidden deep in the menu is an entry 'Internal Mute' that does exactly what you are seeing. What happens when you connect and view via SCART? I know it won't be HD BUT does it have sound? The Sky Installers should have connected you via HDMI and SCART so it's a simple test.
