Thread: Some thoughts on Tuesday's Cleveland show

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by stang
The challenge was there for Bruce Springsteen in Cleveland on Tuesday night. How do you possibly follow up the two legendary shows at Madison Square Garden over the weekend? You put on another damn good show, with a damn good crowd, and once again Cleveland rocks! Overall a fine night of Bruce and the E Street Band with some great request songs and playing Elvis again in the encores. ...

Another great write-up, Stan. Here's some background on Red Headed Woman. A woman called into E Street Nation with Dave Marsh on Sunday night and wanted to know if Dave could get the request for Red Headed Woman to Bruce in Cleveland because her seat was too far away for Bruce to see the sign. Looks like he got her sign...

Great post Stan -- the emotion is building towards Buffalo. I can't begin to imagine how emotional that night is destined to be. The band may be back home and the crowd will still be yelling "E Street Band". I'd say if you've cared about this band as long as most of us have -- do whatever you have to do to get to Buffalo.

A very high energy show, and I agree with Stan that Back in Your Arms was probably the highlight of the night. Also, Backstreets continues to lengthen, making me wonder if a full-blown version of Sad Eyes could be in works. Off to the HOF today before a long road trip ...

Being that "Wrecking Ball" is still in the setlist and these arenas aren't going anyway, does anyone else think he's now referring to the E-Street Band as we currently know it? Sorry if someone else has already presented this idea, I have not seen this mentioned anywhere else.

Great review Stan but I noticed you didn't mention "The Guitar"... I thought it was out for Rosalita as do a number of other concert goers I spoke with after the show, anyone else notice this.

Roy and Max joined the band after BTR was recorded. Thought I read somewhere that they answered an ad in the Village Voice.
