Thread: Sold another 5 Oz today

Started 2 months ago by GoldBuyer123
I suggest everybody to consider lightening their exposure to PMs. The worst is behind. There is no inflation on the horizon, and when it does appear the Feds can easily fight that with sharp raises in the interest rates. PMs have not caught on, and will not now that the pressure is being released from the credit crisis.

Goldbuyer123, I am trying to understand you! You seem to contridict yourself. I am always wanting to learn! You seem to have alot of posts that say the people of this forum are crazy. But I do not see any suggestions. Will you impart some of your knowledge on me. I am wanting to understand where you come from. What you are doing. What others would be wise to do. My post is a serious one...

Conventional "Wisdom" (This ain't rocket science...pretty simple stuff) From today's Bloomberg article. [snip] “It’s too risky for the Federal Reserve to play around raising interest rates before the economic recovery takes hold and becomes independent of stimulus measures,” said Tim Brunne, a credit strategist with UniCredit SpA in Munich. “We don’t expect the Fed to start raising rates until the fourth quarter of...

I think you have it backwards GB123. If you think the economy is getting "stronger", why do you think the dollar will benefit from this perceived strength? If anything, if things do in fact turn around, people are going to take their money out of treasuries and the USD and will put them into riskier asset classes. This will strengthen commodities, not the USD.
