Thread: So how is this different?

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by wildcatsfan1
Yesterday and today I took Heat for saying the Lakers caught a gassed Suns team and though the Lakers are better, they're not as much better as us as the game showed. The Suns had played a lot of games in a short period and had a bac-to-back (one at home, one on the road) that the Lakers caught them on. The Lakers ended up winning easily and all of Lakers ...

It is exactly the same. I do however feel like the Lakers would have done a better job if they would have dumped it downlow to Bynum a few more times. Sometimes the offense doesn't need to start with Kobe it can start with Bynum drawing the double...but I am not Phil Jackson, what do I know?

The Lakers ended up winning easily and all of Lakers nation announced the Suns were frauds "don't even belong in the same league as us", blah blah blah. Vic thinks the Suns are overrated but like hes said a million times HE DOES NOT SPEAK FOR LAKER NATION. Myself and TLF and otehr fans think the Suns are a legitimate playoff team. The Lakers are a better team ...

The Lakers are a better team than the Suns , 20+ better? No but no mistaking it they are a better team and would take care of them in a 7 game series. Firstly, if this post shows up weird I have no idea what happened. Secondly, the Lakers are the better team, but as I said to Vic, I honestly see them only getting 59-61 wins this season b/c of nights ...

They did dump it to him a bit, but the Nuggets doubled him every time while playing Kobe one on one for nearly the entire game. My bet is this wasn't so much the fear of Bynum hurting them more than Kobe, but rather the fear that Kobe can kill a double team a lot better with a pass, while Bynum is more succeptible to turnovers out of it. Kobe hit some of those ...

It basically isn't - interstate overnight away teams always go down in the third quarter. Always have, always will. Watch it like clockwork - it's got to be a good 80% of such games.

playing the 2nd game at a 5000+ foot elevation. 5 games in 7 nights is a LOT more taxing than playing at elevation. Again, not calling the Lakers overrated or saying "they dob't belong in the Nuggets league." Thats just stupid. But just wanted to hear from some Lakers supporters how this is different? Treu_Laker_Fan was another one throwing out the notion the...

its not different. I havent seen a single post on these boards about a Laker fan making excuses. They got blown out, plain and simple. Those are the games you learn from and come back stronger. I dont see what the problem is here? The only one that made excuses were a couple Suns fans after the loss saying they lost because they were tired....

WCF1, who is saying that this isn't any different? What's your point? Like IP said, this game was lost in the 3rd quarter when the Lakers , who have been winning games in the 3rd period prior to Friday night, appeared to throw the towel in. When both Artest & Odom picked up their 5th fouls early in that quarter was basically when this game was effectively ...

No excuses here from this Laker fan. Every team plays back to backs during the season; it's part of the game. The Lakers simply got outplayed badly in the third quarter. It was a combination of great play from Denver and horrible play from the Lakers. Lawson did whatever he wanted with Fisher guarding him. The Lakers commited a bunch of dumb reaching fouls and got ...

From this Lakers fan....There is no excuses for that 8 points third quarter comma in Denver game. Lakers stunk that night. I dont think the Suns is pretentder at all. They will be there with the Lakers, and the Nuggetts when the play-off comes. The Suns are atleast better than the over-the hill Spurs at this moment.
