But it's not appropriate for an American president to bow to a foreign one," said conservative pundit William Kristol speaking on the Fox News Sunday program... "The gesture appears to have touched a particularly raw nerve among Obama critics who said the president has hastened America's decline as a world superpower by being too apologetic and too deferential in his dealings with other world leaders." I didnt vote for him but if he's showing respect then what's the problem, shit like this makes me NOT watch the news...

Because the Japanese are such mischevious, devious, anti-american troublemakers. __________________ Quote: Originally Posted by extollo flip it on its back and use something long with a sticky tip.

AFAIK, in asian culture a bow is a sign of respect, not subservience. Well played by Obama (except that he should have kept his head up and not bowed quite as deeply IMHO). __________________ The Mighty Renegades

I'm generally a conservative..(moderate) and I don't get it. You go to his country you bow. He comes to our country you shake his hand without a bow. Their house, their rules. It has nothing to do with politics its just a matter of respect. Same rules go for if you come over to my house or if I come over to yours.
