Is it like the early dragon warrior/quest games? Also, what's a good starting party? Thanks!!!

Judging by the first few minutes of this game it's more like the old Wizardry or Might & Magic titles than Dragon Warrior. Actually, just looking at the character/party creation screams out "Updated Wizardry" to me. I never really played the Might & Magic games so I only know that they were made in a similar style.

You'll find the battles familiar, but exploring is different being done in a first person perspective amongst other things. As for classes, giving suggestions kills part of the game. The only suggestions I'll give is a have a Devout and a Theif. They excel the quickest at healing and pick locking/disarming traps respectively.

Well, having played through the game a bit more I've just got one thing to say. This game is an updated Wizardry title with different trappings, pure and simple. The Gambits that you can use in fights are very similar to the Allied Actions of Wizardry Tale of the Forsaken Land in that they're group attacks that deal with intra-party trust issues. Character creation, class changes, alignment ...

Well, having played through the game a bit more I've just got one thing to say. This game is an updated Wizardry title with different trappings, pure and simple.
