Yikes, as much as I love snow, I was hoping that I would bypass the white stuff until the trip to Woodland park was over. We don't have 4 wheel drive.

You don't need 4wd/awd, just common sense. You'll be fine, this is nothing! The ground is still too warm for this stuff to stay around and accumliate to much. Cripple Creek is a little different due to being at 9500', which is where all of my pics are from.

We've always done it ourselves, s I don't know how much it costs. But definitely now is the time to shut down that kind of stuff for winter - AC, swamp coolers, etc., detach garden hoses, etc.

A few words about moutain snowfalls: your results may vary. At a guess, many locations in Teller county got 4" or so of rather wet snow over 24 hours. But I was pretty much all over the county and got rained on, sleeted on, and snowed upon. Some areas got barely a skiff, while one area in the southeast part of the county got at least 6" - in fact it snowed 4" easily in less than an hour at that location. I heard...
