Can someone please give me some advice how to choose a place for snorkeling around Playa del Carmen, Mexico? We do not have guys with us this time so we want to be somewhere safe. We are not sissies but we do not want to get ripped off just because we are blond. How much is it supposed to cost? Also what is the best way to see the Chichen Itza ruins? We've done various snorkeling trips in PDC, we've booked them in town through one of the local travel agents, we went out on a diving charter with one of them, others have taken us up to Puerto Morales, an organized trip might be your best bet if you are worried about security. You can also take the Ado bus to Puerto Morales for about $5.00 roundtrip ( buy it at Playa del Carmen Ado station off 5th Ave. Get off the bus ( be sure to tell driver) get off & take a taxi to the town $2.00 max one way. Diving is a cooperative snorkling. A guide will take you around & not leave you. Great snorkling for the area. Isla Mujeras also has good snorkling. Chichen Itza will blow ...
