Well - I am eager to get this new EPG - but am glad I am not part of the "beta test" - lol Good luck to all who are having the early teething problems and I hope they get fixed ASAP.

Hi Everyone , Just got the new HD epg 2 days ago and would like to report some bugs , apologies if these have already been listed . 1) Sky News , Pressing the red button no longer starts the interactive service, you get a message in the corner that says "please Wait" then the screen twicthes for a split second but nothing happends, Tried rebooting serveral times but no ...

Your joking!!!!! I hadn't used the red button since the update, the World Championship Snooker on BBC starts in 2 weeks time and a lot of the coverage is now only via the red button. I will be major league ticked off if I have to watch it on the Sky+ box on my portable TV, especially as I don't get a freeview signal so it's Sky or nothing.

Thomson Version No. 4E300E with 1TB HDD and new PSU. Well I now have the new EPG. First impression is that the text is very small on my TV upstairs (24inch CRT). Can't see any option to change the text size tho, although I'm sure it's something that i'll get used to quickly (bit like when you increase the resoluiton on your PC I suppose).

Some menu's appear to 'lock' and you cant move up to get back out of them. However, this is because on some of them you have to 'back up' to get back to the main menu strip at the top instead of just pressing the up arrow.

Some menus appear blank when you move to them. If a menu appears blank after moving to it, then press 'SELECT' and the contents then appear.

Anybody got any pictures of it? Just wondering how sharp is it the old EPG was a bit blurry. I have a 4E300C so I guess I will have to wait.

1 - you need to have a tv switched on that is connected via hdmi for the red button services to work (its a bug) 2 - its a bug 3 - sorry, cant help, not come across that one.

New EPG guidelines... Press 'Services' then down arrow to take you to 'Sky+ Setup', scroll right to 'Add Channels', enter details and press 'Yellow' to find channels, store and go back to 'Other Channels' to view. Cheers, Keef. Well done Reddawrfcrew for beating me with a very quick reply!

There is no way of getting it quicker, you will just have to wait along with everyone else. A forced update might actually delay getting it.

New to sky and had a thomson HD box installed last Friday. I don't have the new epg and do not have the box connected to my phone line as there is not an active one near it. Does the new epg download via the phone line?
