You will get a bit more, but it would have been nice if your noise margin was a bit higher. I don't think it is possible to say exactly but 19-20 should not be out of reach. You might find your very high upload gets discovered and knocked back, unless they also increase upload.

The Realist replied 8 months ago
They both have been manually increased. Say no more. Regards

agree with u a bit but what has that got to do with the speeds increasing? they charge the same ammount of money for the 16mbit package as they do for the 20mbit package , so profits is not an issue with the speed thing

It arrived today, just finished fitting it. The white wire with orange highlights was running into terminal four on the old faceplate. There was no terminal four on the ADSL Nation faceplate, so I slipped it into terminal five. All other wires slotted into their according places. These are the results! ADSL Link Downstream Upstream Connection Speed 15652 kbps 760 kbps Line Attenuation 29 db 15 db Noise Margin 7 db 17 db This is a...

It means that when "we" were new customers we got the deal that was on at the time we signed up. These deals change and if Sky were to put all customers new and old on them then thwy would never get a steady income and would not be able to maintain profits, that is what they run this company for afterall.

Extremely similar to mine, and I've been told I should see pretty much the full 1.3mbps (minus overhead ofc)
