Thread: Sister gave me a DOA macbook....

should I part it out or sell it for scrap parts on ebay? Any other suggestions? I know the HD is dead and possibly the mobo. the screen has some damage also. I tried booting with extrernal disk & CDs but just got the flashing folder icon. she had an extended warantee, but they said it was too far gone to be covered. she also gave me a functional imac G5 which I set up as a kids ...

I always thought DOA was for Dead on Arrival?

DOA in "computer speak" and "electronic equipment speak" = Dead On Arrival. Eric is correct. Regards.
