It sounds like from a heart perspective you are fine. Could you have something going on with your esophogus? Maybe, I would have that checked out.

Yes there could. An EKG Atrioventricular block, ekg tracing Ecg Exercise stress test hover_boxes.hoverize_link('term_4823706_1', 'highlight_term') is just reading electrical impulses in the heart by sensing differences in tiny voltages across the skin. It is known by cardiologists that this test will not reveal artery problems in most cases but is still an important ...

The hard part here is that you are not saying what type of CHD Coronary heart disease hover_boxes.hoverize_link('term_4823373_1', 'highlight_term') your son has. A heart murmur Heart murmurs and other sounds hover_boxes.hoverize_link('term_4823373_2', 'highlight_term') , unless caused by a large hole, isn't that important and a Sinus Arrhythmia is actually a normal ...

The type of chest pains you are describing are usually muscle related, not heart related. Add to that, true heart related chest pain in someone your age, ESPECIALLY in a woman, would be extrememly rare and the causes of that pain would be easily seen on an EKG and ECHO. Heart pain is caused by a lack of bloodflow to the heart wall caused by blocked arteries or a thick heart wall ...

It may never return to normal. I had a quintuple 2 years ago at age 49. I still get odd little sensations and numb areas at times - the hard part is that from going through the whole heart related ordeal, I am very sensitive to anything that occurs in the chest area. It is easy to get alarmed.

I am a 30 year old male diagnosed with a cardiomyopathy. I would like to know what my doctor is talking about. I get a cardio MRI done yearly. This last MRI showed my EF had raised from 38 to 43 but my overall thickness went from 3.8 cm to 4.1 cm He said that this concerned him and we would have to do something about it. He said if it gets above 5 cm or (50mm) we will have to do ...

One would have to assume that you have developed occlusions either side of the bypass graft.

QUOTE: "using nitrates to get around the problems with a large blockage".   >>I suggested a nitrate for any beneficial relief to the OP, and if there be relief that would be evidence of angina.  Obviously, the doctor would procede with further tests to determine the degree and location of any lesions.  It is evidence not any conclusion that doesn't...

Probably due to deconditioning, doubt if you have any heart issues at 21, it's possible but it would be very, very rare. Jon

You're very young to have heart problems, and anxiety does get your heart pounding, and raise your BP.  This sounds like a a panic Panic disorder Panic disorder with agoraphobia attack.  You should speak with your doctor and get to the bottom of the problem.

James, do yourself the BIGGEST favor of your life: THROW AWAY the BP Monitor!!!!!! The more you take your BP the worse it is going to be, JUST BECAUSE you are taking it and panicing! Those monitors, half the time, aren't even accurate. Dump it!

Sudden numbness and pain in arms
Published (2009-12-08 09:26:00)
It does sound like a disk or nerve problem. Can you describe the pain? I know that's hard to do. When my heart decide to spasm or whatever it's doing it feels like someone is taking my heart and smashing it hard and twisting it like wringing out a sponge. It stops me in my tracks. Sometimes is can radiate to the back (then I feel like a bug pinned to a cork board). Most often it's in front. So far I've been lucky enough...

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying with the suggestion of doubting pulse rate drop as he suggested.  Could be I'm just reading it all wrong(?).  My father needed magnesium because of his heart rate.  It was 168 and obviously uncomfortable since he asked to be checked out and it wasn't till well after getting to the hospital and blood tests and then the...
