okay i know this is sounds stupid but does anyone used Silicone Grease as Thermal Paste?

actually i dont know yet which Silicone is good for cooling the CPU an example of Silicone grease they calling it Silicone Thermal Grease http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?inv...0-2G&cpc=AD DON hmm..

It's just generic thermal grease. Silver thermal compound have better thermal conductivity.

Silicone Grease is the traditional cheap and lower performance compound. Generally it's accepted that a silver based compound or similar has better thermal properties and thus better performance. I don't know by how much as it seems that no-one compares to it. Funny thing is I bought some the other day to compare to the high end silver stuff and will be testing it this week.

It's just generic thermal grease. Silver thermal compound have better thermal conductivity.
