Thread: Sick of drywall

Sorry just had to cry im putting up sheet rock on my basement ceiling. got my track all in parts and cant race till i paint im going crazy need HELP any brothers out there want life membership? All i can pay is beer food and good race track any takers come to basement in back....

I feel your pain brother. . .I am waterproofing my basement along with repainting the walls and the 57 year old ceiling tiles. Been 4 days on a 2 day project so far. . . and not even half way done. Take a Beer break, Ken

Finished my garage loft this past fall, OMG it's great to have tall sons. Good luck with the mud, that's the part I hate.

I'd be more then glad to help if i was closer years ago i used to hang , tape and finish with machines and by hand . Sorry your far away or i'd be more then glad to

I am so in the middle of recoing my basement and thats where the track is going, I nowhere near done. still have to take some walls down and then waterproof the block and frame the walls out and AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHh!!!! I will never race again!!!!! And drywall does suck!!!!!!

You could use the scrap drywall to make pit walls or fencing paint it and after running the cars for a bit and the drywall getting hit it will start to flake off and look like really wall damage.

Did you use 1/4" or 3/8 or 1/2 Or (GASP) 5/8

in my area 5\8 is fire code so yes i used the heavy stuff but its all up working on my 2nd coat of mud thanks for the note and my helpers soon as paints on track is going back up and i cant wait.

Good job on them "stones" Reminds me of driving through southwest U.S.with Dad,Mom,Sis and Bros. about 1965 before there was an interstate. Once upon a time there were some big jackrabbit cutouts in the hills too.... gonna do it?? We used to make the trip L.A. to Ne. twice a year back in those days Lookin' forward to the finishing touches here 2FER

I bet that track has some pretty knarly wrecks. Think of the penalty if you came of in the back section. Might take a full minute to get to the car.
