Thread: Should I take Vitamin D to prevent the H1N1 flu? If so, how much?

Started 2 months ago by China Connection
I notice that all the sites we had on D3 are down so I thought I'd post this to remind TimeBomb members of the importance of D3. I got my supply in from Bio-Tech Pharmacal, Inc. three days ago. I got what they sell as D3 plus. You are nuts if you go for stuff like fish oil for D3 because of cost and actual content of D3. Here in China I can't get good D3 at the local pharmacy shops. So...

The recomendation seems to be 5,000 IU a day if you are not exposing your body to sunlight. The recomendation from Bio Tech is twice or more this figure. The cost of the D3 plus I ordered which contains vitamin A and K2 along with magnesium and Zinc is $45 US for 180 capsules. Each capsul contains 5,000 IU of D3. So if you took two capsules a day it would be costing you $15 US a month or 50...

I have read 2k to 5k for maintenance dosage. If you are coming down with something, maybe 20 times that amount. If I had to take the high dosage, I probably would go through a gallon of water a day. FWIW, I...
